Samsung’s LPDDR5X DRAM (dynamic random access memory) is a 14nm 16Gb chip. According to the company, this solution offers data transfer speeds of up to 7.5Gbps. That’s about 1.2 times faster speed than the 6.4Gbps speeds offered by LPDDR5 RAM chips found in the current crop of high-end smartphones. The Korean firm also touts up to 20 percent less power consumption with the new chip. It adopts advanced circuit designs and dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS)....
