Google is opening its first of its “neighborhood stores” in Williamsburg on June 16. It’ll be located at 134 N 6th Street in Williamsburg. It’ll offer a lot of the same hands-on experiences with its products and services as its flagship store in Chelsea does. What is a “Neighborhood store”? What is a “Neighborhood store”? This is the first neighborhood store for Google, so what exactly is it? Well, it’s basically the same as the flagship store, but in a more intimate setting....

Firmware updates for Google’s Pixel buds have always been an automatic process with no user control. If your buds are connected and a new update is available, they automatically install it. This may be inconvenient at times as you can’t use the buds while an update is in process. Google wants to simplify this process by allowing users to manually install available updates when they want. The company was spotted working on manual updates for Pixel buds back in February....

It is not releasing all the details on the new Pixel 6 yet, that will happen this fall. But the big news here is the Tensor SoC. Which is leaving us with more questions than answers. But the name comes from the “Tensor” chips that it uses in its data centers. Tensor will use at least a mobile TPU for AI operations and a new Titan M2 security chip. The rest of the SoC – CPU, GPU and the 5G modem – are all still a mystery right now....
