Netflix launched its mobile game efforts close to a year ago. The company released a games tab within the Netflix app in November of 2021. And in that time, has added 35 games to the roster of playable titles. Netflix also officially announced its heavy interest in cloud gaming in the middle of October. And now with Spry Fox joining the company, Netflix is trying to make it as clear as possible that it’s serious about expanding its efforts in gaming even further....

It gives you a visual look at the status of an app as it is being downloaded and installed, as a progress bar around an app icon. This new feature/animation is called the Android 12 install icons signifier. It doesn’t function identically to the one on iOS, but it works in a similar way, and it does seem that’s where Google got the inspiration for this....

The new banner, shown in the image below, provided by the source, is loaded with information. It’s comprised of two explainer segments and three options for users to click or tap. In addition to a more detailed explanation of how it uses cookies it collects. And what it will additionally do with the data if users accept all cookies. Finally, the company explains the difference between non-personalized and personalized content. Then, near the bottom of the page, users are provided a button to accept or reject all cookies....

We’re of course referring to both Pokémon GO and Tamagotchi. The former is another AR game that Niantic makes. Though you probably already knew that. And the latter are those adorable virtual pets you probably used to carry around with you everywhere when you were a kid. Naturally, Niantic is taking the virtual pet and kicking things up to the next level with Peridot. And if there’s anything that could make Tamagotchi’s more interesting and fun to today’s gamers, it’s blending them in with the real world....
