Google did not, however, mention exactly which countries the rollout will be effective in. Now, the latter change for hotels is rolling out now but not quite fully fleshed out just yet. That’s down to Google working with the US Green Building Council and Global Sustainable Tourism Council to “begin importing” databases associated with eco-certified hotels. So the databases may not be fully available for any individual user. However, starting today, users who search Google’s page for travel will find an “Eco-certified” filter in the mix....
Google has recently updated Chrome to version 100. The new version of Google’s browser comes with a new icon and a new Multi-Screen Window Placement API. Also, the “Lite Mode” feature is removed. However, Google Chrome 102 is going to be something special with the ability to validate online shops. According to AndroidPolice, one of their tipsters spotted a popup below the address bar when he visited an online shop. This happened on Chrome Dev 102, and the popup asked him if he wanted to see store reviews....
Legal issues between the two companies have not yet been resolved, but it appears that Google was considering buying Epic as part of its plan to close the case. Epic claims that Google has pursued and exaggerated its monopoly policies. “Google has gone so far as to share its monopoly profits with business partners to secure their agreement to fence out competition, has developed a series of internal projects to address the “contagion” it perceived from efforts by Epic and others to offer consumers and developers competitive alternatives, and has even contemplated buying some or all of Epic to squelch this threat....
