A few years back, Samsung tried to buy the streaming platform, but apparently, it fell through. Now, they’ve struck this deal that will grant Polish customers half a year of free Tidal music streaming if they buy A pair of Galaxy Buds+....

Each plan tier will have its own set of features and pricing. With both monthly and annual subscription fees just like PlayStation Plus does now. Sony plans to begin the rollout of the new PlayStation Plus plans this June in several markets in Asia, followed by North America, Europe, and the rest of the world where PlayStation Plus is already available. This will also be a phased regional rollout. Which means Sony isn’t going to launch the new service everywhere at once....

Car View in Spotify kicked in automatically when you connect your phone to a car over Bluetooth. The interface featured larger touch controls for music playback, and that’s pretty much it. There were no distracting elements on the screen, such as album art and lyrics. You only have the playback controls, favorite and shuffle buttons, and the track title and artists, all in a larger size than normal. You could enable or disable Car View in the Settings....

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek said in his prepared remarks that the company is working to tackle misinformation on the platform. “The last several weeks have presented a number of learning opportunities,” Ek said (via Engadget). In case you need a refresher, Joe Rogan and his podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” are at the center of the whole controversy. Content on Rogan’s podcast has led multiple artists, including Neil Young, to remove their music from Spotify....

The Community feature on the Spotify mobile app was spotted in development a few weeks back. The streaming giant recently confirmed to TechCrunch that the feature is in the “early testing phase”. While the company didn’t officially share many details on it, some people have been able to access the Community hub. Perhaps iOS users can enter “spotify:community” into the Safari browser to open the page. It’s not functional yet, as the songs listed can’t be played....
