Google started using AI to predict floods in India back in 2018, and that program further expanded to Bangladesh in 2020. According to Google, it will now offer flood forecasts for river basins in another 18 countries. Those are Brazil, Colombia, Sri Lanka, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Malawi, Guinea, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Namibia, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Angola and South Africa. The alerts go out to every Android phone user or any phone with the installed Google search app....

First up, there are three new widgets coming. YouTube Music has a new widget that will put playback controls and recently played tracks right onto your home screen. Next up is the new Google Play Books widget which lets you access your full library of books and your audiobook progress. Finally, there is a new Google Photos People and Pets widget that will show your family on your home screen. According to 9to5Google, the “Always send images by the link in text (SMS/MMS)” option is removed from the Google Photos menu in Messages. So there is no way to select and send images. We still don’t know why the feature was removed and whether it was intentional or a bug. However, in the Google Support page, the company says users can use Google Photos in Messages to send “sharper videos.” This might indicate that the integration between Google Photos and Messages didn’t go as expected, and users didn’t welcome the feature in initial testing....
