The promotional materials show the Galaxy S23+ in a pink hue and the Ultra model in green. A recent leak revealed that these will be the signature colors of the two phones, respectively. So things are lining up nicely. The leak claimed a light gold/pink gold signature color for the vanilla Galaxy S23. So, it should look identical to the Plus model. Barring for the size, of course. Note that signature color is nothing but the color variant that Samsung shows in its press materials and promos....

According to a new report by Galaxy Club, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature a 10-megapixel telephoto zoom camera with 10X optical zoom. We don’t have detailed specs of the sensor Samsung would use. But it appears to be unchanged from this year’s Ultra model. The 10X zoom camera on the Galaxy S22 Ultra has an aperture of f/4.9 and offers dual-pixel PDAF (phase-detection autofocus) and OIS (optical image stabilization). Of course, Samsung could improve the picture quality with software and processing optimizations....

The latest update for Samsung’s newest smartwatches is currently available to users in the US as well as the company’s homeland South Korea. The rollout should reach other regions within a few days. The official changelog for the update doesn’t mention any new features or enhancements. It simply says improved system stability and reliability along with the latest security patch. But according to a screenshot shared by SamMobile, the OTA package weighs almost 100MB for the vanilla Galaxy Watch 4....

Samsung recently released a beta update to its Health app. In the new version, Redditor u/thedrunkmayor spotted a toggle for “skin temperature during sleep” (via). A brief description of the toggle says the feature will help “forecast your cycle more accurately.” It’s unclear if this feature will be readily available whenever you want to measure your skin temperature or if it only works during sleep. Since skin temperature can vary quickly depending on outside environments, making accurate readings with a tiny wrist-worn device would require quite a powerful algorithm....
