As of this writing, the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ are receiving the June SMR (Security Maintenance Release) in several European countries, including Switzerland, Poland, Germany, and the Nordic region. The new firmware version for the phones is G97FXXSFHVF1. The update should reach other markets in the coming days. The phones aren’t getting any new features or enhancements apart from this month’s security fixes. The June SMR doesn’t seem to be available to the Galaxy S10 5G yet....

The update will be available for the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra beginning on November 15. That marks less than a month after Google started rolling it out to Pixel smartphones. That is quite impressive for Samsung. While today’s news is about the Galaxy S21 series, Samsung does say that it will be available on previous Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series, as well as other Galaxy A series, foldables, and tablets in the very near future....

However, these numbers contradict with another certification from China’s 3C. The 3C certification agency suggested all three Galaxy S22 models will not top 25W charging speeds. Perhaps Samsung will offer its upcoming flagships with different charging speeds in different regions. Or maybe we’re missing out on something. We will find that out soon. But either way, don’t expect Samsung to include a charging brick in the retail box. Those days are long gone....
