According to the Dutch publication GalaxyClub, the vanilla Galaxy S6 is receiving the update with firmware version G920FXXU6EVG1 in Europe. That for the Galaxy S6 Edge is G925FXXU6EVG3 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ is G928FXXU5CVG3. The update is available to both carrier-locked and unlocked units in the region. A global rollout may have already begun too. The official changelog for this update doesn’t mention anything. It only contains the generic pointers that mention device stability improvements, bug fixes, new and/or improved features, and other performance improvements....

This news comes from Korea Business, and it states that Samsung will not add an in-display fingerprint scanner to its next generation of foldable phones. Rather than doing that, Samsung will place the fingerprint scanner in the power button just like with the current and past generations. The leak comes courtesy of Ice Universe on Twitter. Despite the new name, the internal codename for the chip is still SM8450, as per recent reports. Since this is only a rumor at this point, we recommend taking this with a grain of salt. It’s unclear if this name change would apply to Qualcomm’s mid-range and budget CPUs. Perhaps the chip maker wants to effectively differentiate between its mid-tier and high-end SoCs in the market....

According to well-known tipster IceUniverse on Twitter (via), the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ will have flat back and front panels with symmetrical bezels. This means the two phones will have fairly similar design attributes as the Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S21+. IceUniverse goes as far as saying that the two devices look similar to the iPhone 13 lineup barring the notch. The indication here is that these two phones could have flat sides as well....

The company will prefer people with demonstrated experience in “home theater or home entertainment domain.” The audio biggie also has a job opening for a “UX Lead- Next Generation Home Theater Experience” who will be responsible for “defining and evolving the Next Generation Home Theater experience” at the company....
