Since display monitors are designed with 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratios, you will see extra leftover space for workspace apps such as Google Docs. But that doesn’t mean app developers cannot go ahead and put some meaningful use of the extra space. Keeping this in mind, the Google Docs comments section will now expand and resize itself based on the number of characters. Notably, it will house a maximum of 50 characters in width, which is 15 characters more than the earlier allowance of 35 characters....

They utilize the very same fingerprint scanner, by the way. These two phones are the first Google-made smartphones with an in-display fingerprint scanner, by the way. Google is now providing a list of screen protector brands with the “Made for Google” certification. “If your fingerprint won’t scan, it might be because of your screen protector. Make sure you’re using a screen protector that is Made for Google certified,” Google said on its support page. Although this list existed previously, Google has updated the page now with specific information. “Brands that are Made for Google certified for Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6 are Zagg, Otterbox, and Panzerglass,” the company said (via)....

The S-Pen Pro is the Bluetooth-enabled S-Pen, which means that it does need to charge. Thankfully, everything that it is supported with has a silo for it in the device, or has a case that you can buy for it to work properly and charge. It’s good to see that this is available, but not required. As some people might want a particular device, but don’t want the S-Pen and may end up losing it....
